We at NINA feel that it is important to protect children and their privacy. Therefore, we follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA) enacted in United States federal law, located at Title 15, Section 6501 of the United States Code.
Effective April 21, 2000, it essentially requires that children under 13 have permission in order to register with NINA. However, due to the near impossibility of us to verify actual parental consent, we instead do not allow anyone under the age of 13 to register for our services.
If a user is found to be under the age of 13, his or her account will be permanently removed from our services. If you have an account to report for violating COPPA, please see our report page; be sure to supply username and any other details.
