Most anything in the AIM 4.x series, though 5.0 is OK, things get crazy after that. I used ICQ98 a whole lot so I have some nostalgia for it, but it's not super practical.

AIM 4.x takes the cake, but I do find myself using AIM 5.x. As far as practicality and just up to date; Telegram. I like its security, plus its open source.

Both MSN/WL Messenger and the Instant Messenger built into AOL Desktop are my favorites, especially the latter.

Every time I listen to its IM sound effect, I feel like I've been transported to many years in the past when AOL was in its prime.

wlm 2011 because the layout is modern and has the style from wlm 2009

Yahoo! Messenger 6 through 8, never used them but they look awesome, I also like AIM 5, and the design of 7 looks interesting.

I love Aim 4.x as well. I love the Client the run on the Hiptop devices. Nostalgic purposes. I absolutely loved it.

AIM 5.0 as it seems to run fine on 10,but i dont have anyone one that tis online for more testing and WLM 8.5 with Plus! live
